CELIA MELTON made her mark in the fascinating and challenging world of watercolors just months after her first creation with a one-artist show at the Overland Park Library in Kansas over thirty years ago. Through the years she has advanced her watercolor proficiencies under the guidance of world renowned Dutch-born Tony Van Hasselt, celebrated China-born Richard Yip, award-winning artist for the Associated Press Tony Couch, Pat Kadel of Kansas City fame, and others.
Celia has studied watercolor techniques at home as well as abroad in Portugal, France and Mexico. Her passion for art was inherited from her mother, also an artist. Celia continues to create watercolors at her home in Arizona.
